Mi TV 5X has been confirmed to be featured at Xiaomi’s Smarter Living 2022 event in India on August 26th. The company has been teasing some of the features of the new TV series that will follow the popular Mi TV 4X series, which currently includes 43-inch, 50-inch and 55-inch models in the Indian market. The Mi TV 5X will feature narrow bezels with a metal finish, fine-tuned graphics, a new generation of PatchWall user interface, and more.

Xiaomi is hosting its Smarter Living 2022 event on August 26th at 12 noon IST, where some new products will be announced. It has already been confirmed that the Mi Band 6 and Mi Notebook will be featured at the event, and now the Mi TV 5X has been added to the list. The launch of Xiaomi’s new series of smart TVs at the event was confirmed by a tweet from Xiaomi India. The special events page has also gone live and shows some of the features of the Mi TV 5X.

The Mi TV 5X comes with narrow bezels with a metal finish. It will offer Dolby powered audio backed by “class leading performance”. The picture quality has also been improved and Xiaomi says it is responsive to the environment, which means that there may be some sort of ambient light sensor that dynamically adjusts the picture quality or brightness. Mi TV 5X will also receive a new generation of the PatchWall interface. It comes with far-field microphones for better Google Assistant service. After all, according to the relevant page, the SoC will be future-proof.

The launch of three devices has now been confirmed – Mi Band 6, Mi Notebook and Mi TV 5X. It is currently unclear whether there will be several models of the Mi Notebook and Mi TV 5X.
