Wed Band 6 Fitness Tracker India Launched August 26th; The new Mi notebook is supposed to be Rebaded RedmiBook Pro 15


Xiaomi Mi Band 6 will be unveiled in India on August 26 at 12 noon (noon) at the company’s Smarter Living event. As a reminder: The smartband was launched in China in March together with the Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11 Pro and Mi 11 Lite 5G. The Mi Band 6 will be offered in four colors when it is launched in India. In addition, key specs of the upcoming Mi Notebook model, which is also expected at the event, have been mentioned and it looks like the laptop will be a rebranded RedmiBook Pro 15 that launched in China earlier this year.

Starting with the Mi Band 6, Xiaomi India has confirmed on Twitter that the Smart Band will be on the 26. It also turns out that the Mi Band 6 comes with an SpO2 sensor and has 30 sport modes. The smart wearable was launched worldwide back in March, so its specifications are no secret.

Mi Band 6 Specifications (Global Variant)

The Mi Smart Band 6 has a 1.56 inch (152 x 486 pixels) AMOLED touchscreen display with a pixel density of 326 ppi and a peak brightness of 450 nits. It contains a 125 mAh battery that is said to provide a standby time of up to 14 days. It takes about two hours to charge the band and it supports Bluetooth 5.0. It is also waterproof up to 50 meters.

The fitness wearable supports 30 sport modes and can automatically detect six activities, including walking, running, indoor treadmill and cycling. The Mi Band 6 has 24/7 blood pressure monitoring, blood oxygen sensor (SpO2) and heart rate monitoring, as well as sleep tracking and other functions.

As for the upcoming Mi Notebook model, a tipster named Bishal Goswami (@ bgos10) shared on Twitter that it may be a renamed RedmiBook Pro 15 that will be available in both Intel and AMD variants in China Market came. However, India will get the Intel model as announced on the dedicated event page on the Xiaomi India website.

The site also reveals that it will come with a 16:10 aspect ratio, 100 percent coverage of the sRGB color space, a higher than standard refresh rate, a backlit keyboard, a fingerprint scanner, Thunderbolt connectivity, and a metallic unibody metal design will. These specifications are the same as those of the RedmiBook Pro 15 earlier this year (not to be confused with the RedmiBook 15 Pro, which launched in India earlier this month).

If it turns out that it is a renamed RedmiBook Pro 15, the upcoming Mi Notebook will have a 15.6-inch 3.2 K display (3,200 x 2,000 pixels) with a refresh rate of 90 Hz. It is powered by an 11th Intel Core i7-11370H processor. The laptop comes standard with 512GB PCIe SSD storage. The Mi Notebook will include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, USB Type-C, Thunderbolt 4, USB 2.0, USB 3.2 Gen 1, HDMI and a 3.5mm audio jack for connectivity. There will be two stereo speakers with DTS Audio and a 70 Wh battery.

Both the Mi Band 6 and Mi Notebook will be unveiled at the company’s Smarter Living event in India on August 26.
