The Battlegrounds Mobile India iOS app is now available in the App Store for iPhone and iPad after months of waiting. The game has been playable for Android users since mid-June and has to be pre-registered before that. Developer Krafton has been teasing BGMI’s iOS launch for some time and now the time has finally come. The official website states that this morning, presumably August 18, maintenance was being carried out on the authentication system of the iOS version of the game, after which it was playable for iPhone and iPad users.

iOS users can now download Battlegrounds Mobile India and play on their iPhone or iPad. It does this two months after Android users get their hands on it. The game could be pre-registered in the Google Play Store in mid-May, after which it was available for download as a beta version on June 17th. The official Android launch took place on July 2nd. Meanwhile, iOS users had to wait for an update from the developer, who kept teasing the game’s upcoming release on the platform, but without an exact date or even a rough schedule.

Battlegrounds Mobile India is now listed in the App Store for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. It is 1.9 GB and requires iOS 9.0 / iPadOS 9.0 or higher. Krafton says a minimum of 2 GB of RAM is required to run the game. The BGMI iOS app was rated 17+ and listed as having “Frequent / Intense Realistic Violence” – something Krafton actively tried not to relate his game to compliance with PUBG India’s prohibition bring.

iOS players will receive welcome rewards such as a reconnaissance mask, reconnaissance outfit, the Celebration Expert title and 300AG in-game currency. iOS players will also receive the Galaxy Messenger Set that was part of the 50M Downloads Rewards event.

Krafton announced on the official website of Battlegrounds Mobile India that the maintenance on the authentication system of the iOS version was done this morning and will be completed at 8:30 am EST. The accounts linked to Apple IDs can now log in again.
