The iQoo 8 and iQoo 8 Pro came onto the market in China from January this year as the successor to the iQoo 7 series. The two phones come with several upgrades from the previous generation. Both iQoo 8 and iQoo 8 Pro have triple rear view cameras and are offered in the BMW M Motorsport color variants. The Vanilla iQoo 8 is available in a total of three versions, while the iQoo 8 Pro is available in only two versions. They also come with high refresh rate displays and 10-bit color.

iQoo 8, iQoo 8 Pro: price, availability

iQoo 8 costs CNY 3,799 (approximately 43,600 rupees) for the 8GB + 128GB storage model. The 12 GB + 256 GB storage option costs 4,199 CNY (approximately 48,200 rupees). The phone is available in two versions – Legendary Edition with the BMW M Motorsport color scheme and a black color variant.

iQoo 8 Pro costs 4,999 CNY (approx. 57,300 rupees) for the 8 GB + 256 GB storage model, 5,499 CNY (approx. 63,100 rupees) for the 12 GB + 256 GB storage version and CNY 5,999 (approx. 68,800 rupees) for the 12 GB + 512 GB storage configuration. It comes in two versions – Legendary Edition and Track Version.

Both phones can be pre-ordered in China. iQoo 8 will go on sale on August 24th, while iQoo 8 Pro will go on sale on August 26th. There is currently no information on international availability.

iQoo 8 specifications

Android 11 with Origin OS 1.0 for iQoo runs on top of iQoo 8. It has a 6.56-inch Full HD + (1,080 x 2,376 pixels) AMOLED display with 120 Hz refresh rate, 10-bit color, 19.8: 9 aspect ratio, 92.76 screen-to-body Ratio and 398 ppi pixel density. Under the hood, the phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC and has up to 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

For photos and videos, iQoo 8 offers a triple rear camera setup that includes a 48-megapixel IMX598 sensor primary sensor with an f / 1.79 lens, a 13-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle f / 2.2 lens and a 13. Contains a megapixel portrait camera with f / 2.46 aperture. On the front there is a 16-megapixel selfie shooter with an f / 2.45 aperture, which is housed in a centrally arranged hole-punch cutout.

On-board sensors include an ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, gyroscope, accelerometer, and e-compass. There is a fingerprint scanner in the display and face recognition. iQoo 8 is powered by a 4,350 mAh battery that supports 120 W fast charging. In terms of dimensions, the phone measures 159.06 x 75.14 x 8.63mm and weighs 199.9 grams.

iQoo 8 Pro specifications

iQoo 8 Pro has a larger 6.78-inch 2K AMOLED display (1,440 x 3,200 pixels) with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, an aspect ratio of 20: 9, a screen-to-case ratio of 92.2 Percent, a pixel density of 517 ppi and HDR support. The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus SoC, paired with the Adreno 660 GPU. It comes with up to 12 GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512 GB UFS 3.1 storage.

For photos and videos, the Pro model has a 50-megapixel IMX766V sensor with f / 1.75 lens and gimbal stabilization, a 48-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens f / 2.2 and a 16-megapixel portrait camera f / 2.23 aperture. On the front, the iQoo 8 Pro has a 16-megapixel shooter with an f / 2.4 aperture for selfies and video calls.

Connectivity options and sensors are the same as the Vanilla iQoo 8. However, the Pro model has an ultrasonic 3D wide-range fingerprint sensor in the display. It also includes a larger 4,500 mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging as well as 50W fast wireless charging. In terms of dimensions, the phone measures 165.01 x 75.2 x 9.19 mm and weighs 202.5 grams.
