Kolkata Citizens’ Service is said to be running a COVID-19 vaccination campaign on a daily basis

Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) will be running a COVID-19 vaccination campaign at the city’s health clinics every seven days a week starting Monday, said Firhad Hakim, chairman of the board of directors of the citizenry, while watching the rush on the first jab is “far more” than the second.

Hakim, who is also the state’s transport minister, said the citizen authority has the infrastructure to vaccinate up to one lakh in a day.

The trip used to take place on certain days in a week.

“The number of people who visit the clinics to get the first dose is far higher than those who came for the second dose. We are unable to cope with the rush for the first vaccination, ”Hakim told reporters.

The first dose would be given in the morning and the second after 3 p.m., he added.

At least people in Bengal have been vaccinated with the COVID-19 vaccine so far.
