Realme GT, Realme GT Master Edition with triple rear view cameras launched in India: price, specifications

Realme GT and Realme GT Master Edition were launched in India on Wednesday as the company’s two new 5G phones. Both Realme phones are equipped with 120 Hz Super AMOLED displays and carry triple rear cameras. In one big distinction, Realme GT 5G comes with the top-notch Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC, while Realme GT Master Edition gets the mid-range Snapdragon 778G. The Realme GT Master Edition is also available in a special version with a suitcase-like back design, created by acclaimed Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa. It simulates the horizontal grid of a suitcase and is supplied with a vegan leather material.

Realme GT, Realme GT Master Edition price in India, availability

The Realme GT price in India has been set at Rs. 37,999 for the base version with 8GB + 128GB of storage, while the phone also has a 12GB + 256GB storage model, which is priced at Rs. 41,999. The phone is available in Dashing Blue and Dashing Silver with a glass construction, while a Racing Yellow color option is available in vegan leather.

In contrast, the Realme GT Master Edition has a starting price of Rs. 25,999 for the base variant with 6GB + 128GB of storage. The phone also has 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB storage options which are priced at Rs. 27,999 and Rs. 29,999 respectively. The main attraction of the Realme GT Master Edition is its unique suitcase-like design limited to the Voyager Gray color option . However, the phone also has Cosmos Blue and Luna White colors to choose from.

Realme GT will be available in the country on August 25, while sales of the Realme GT Master Edition for the 8 GB + 128 GB and 8 GB + 256 GB variants will begin on August 26, to be announced at a later date. Both phones will be available on their respective sales dates through Flipkart, Realme.com and major retail stores. Realme has also partnered with Flipkart to offer the phones as part of Flipkart’s Smart Upgrade program. This way, customers can get the Realme GT or Realme GT Master Edition by paying 70 percent of the price for a year.

The Vanilla Realme GT was launched in China in March at a starting price of CNY 2,799 (approx. 32,100 rupees) for the 8 GB + 128 GB memory variant. It was also launched in Europe in June for EUR 449 (approx. 39,100 rupees). On the flip side, the Realme GT Master Edition first arrived in China in July at a starting price of CNY 2,399 (around Rs.27,500) for the 8 GB + 128 GB option and CNY 2,599 (around Rs 29,800) for the 8 GB + 256 GB storage configuration.

Realme GT specifications

The dual SIM (Nano) Realme GT runs on Android 11 with Realme UI 2.0 on top. It has a 6.43-inch Full HD + (1,080 x 2,400 pixels) Super AMOLED display with an aspect ratio of 20: 9 and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The display also has a touch sampling rate of 360 Hz and a peak brightness of 1,000 nits. Under the hood is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC, along with up to 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM. Users can also virtually expand the memory by up to 7 GB using the on-board memory.

For photos and videos, Realme GT carries a triple rear camera setup that houses a 64-megapixel Sony IMX682 primary sensor with an f / 1.8 lens and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide shooter. The camera setup also includes a 2 megapixel macro shooter. Realme GT also carries a 16-megapixel selfie camera on the front with an f / 2.5 lens.

In terms of storage, Realme GT has 128GB and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS / A-GPS, NFC and a USB Type-C port. On-board sensors include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyro, magnetometer, and proximity sensor. There is also a fingerprint sensor in the display.

Realme GT has a 4,500 mAh battery that supports fast charging of 65 W SuperDart Charge. The glass surface of the phone measures 158.5 x 73.3 x 8.4 mm and weighs 186 grams, but its vegan leather version is 8.5 mm thick and weighs 186.5 grams.

Realme GT Master Edition specifications

The Dual-SIM (Nano) Realme GT Master Edition runs on Realme UI 2.0, based on Android 11. It has a 6.43-inch Full-HD + (1,080 x 2,400 pixels) Super AMOLED display with a 20: 9 aspect ratio and 120 Hz update rate. The phone is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC, paired with up to 8 GB of RAM. There is also support for dynamic RAM expansion to add up to 5 GB of memory using the on-board memory. It carries the triple rear-view camera setup, which includes a 64-megapixel primary sensor with an f / 1.8 lens, as well as an 8-megapixel ultra-wide shooter and a 2-megapixel macro shooter.

For selfies and video chats, the Realme GT Master Edition has a 32-megapixel Sony IMX615 camera sensor on the front with an f / 2.45 lens.

The Realme GT Master Edition has up to 256 GB of onboard storage. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, GPS / A-GPS, NFC and a USB Type-C port. The phone has an in-display fingerprint sensor.

Realme has provided a 4,300 mAh battery for the Realme GT Master Edition, which supports fast charging of 65 W SuperDart Charge. The phone also weighs 174 grams (180 grams for the Naoto Fukasawa’s Voyager Gray option).
