Vivo X70 series could bring smartwatches to the market in addition to tablets; Vivo X70 Pro + is reportedly certified in China

The Vivo X70 series will appear alongside the company’s tablets and smartwatches. In addition to its regular devices, Vivo is said to have plans to launch its foldable phone and laptop. The Vivo X70 series has also reached Compulsory Certification of China (3C), as the Vivo X70 Pro + reportedly received its certification. The new line of products, which are speculated to supersede the existing Vivo X60 phones, is said to include three new models – Vivo X70, Vivo X70 Pro and Vivo X70 Pro +.

A tipster has claimed on Weibo that Vivo plans to launch its tablets and smartwatches along with the Vivo X70 series. Two of the models should already be in production.

Vivo is also expected to have a foldable phone in the works that could hit the market later this year. The foldable phone could come under the company’s Nex branding. A previous report suggested that Vivo – along with its Oppo sibling – is working on foldable phones with an inward-foldable design. This could be similar to what we saw on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3.

In addition, Vivo should have its laptop ready for launch. Details about the Vivo laptop are not yet known. However, it’s likely that the company is using the latest Intel processors and offering an upgrade to Windows 11 – if not the latest out-of-the-box operating system.

Earlier this week, the Vivo sibling and BBK Electronics subsidiary Realme entered the laptop market by launching Realme Book Slim in India and its rebranded version called Realme Book in China.

The same tipster posted separately on Weibo that the Vivo X70 Pro + with the model number V2145A has reached China’s 3C. Gadgets 360 was able to independently verify certification on the 3C website, although it is unclear whether the model number is related to the named Vivo model.

Previously, the Vivo X70 and Vivo X70 Pro allegedly appeared with the model numbers V2104 and V2015, respectively.

The 3C certification shows that the Vivo phone comes with 66W fast charging, which appears to be an upgrade over the Vivo X60 Pro + with 55W charging support.

A previous report indicated that Vivo X70 Pro + would be available in India at a price of around Rs. 70,000 while Vivo X70 Pro would be available for almost Rs. 50,000. The launch of the Vivo X70 series is scheduled for September.
