Walmart, the American retail giant, is looking for a product manager for digital currencies and cryptocurrencies to be entrusted with developing the strategy and product roadmap for digital currencies. In addition, as the company’s head of cryptocurrencies, the new employee will also be responsible for driving the vision for the product and capabilities roadmap, the company said. In addition, the product manager will also help identify technology and customer trends, and then plan the investments needed to build those trends further.
Walmart is essentially looking for someone who can work effectively with the product, technology and design leaders to deliver results. According to the job description, the person is expected to own and drive the digital currency strategy for Walmart. The minimum qualifications for the position include a bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field. The individual should have at least seven years experience in mergers and acquisitions, investment banking, business development, or related fields.
Walmart also shared a number of preferred qualifications. They prefer someone with experience leading cross-functional teams or someone who has had post-merger management activities with acquisitions and divestments in the past. In addition, a master’s degree or higher in economics, engineering, or related fields is a preferred qualification. Project management experience, leadership experience leading corporate development teams are also preferred qualifications for the position.
