Nokia licensee HMD Global has announced that it will launch a new product next month. Looking at the split image of the event – which only shows a retail box of the new product – it could be a new product category as it appears larger than any of the products next to it. It is speculated that it is the Nokia T20 tablet – first from licensee HMD Global – which has been launched in recent months.
According to a tweet from Nokia Mobile (@NokiaMobile), a kick-off event is planned for October 6th, which will most likely only be virtual due to the ongoing pandemic. The image shared by Nokia shows a Nokia 3310, Nokia 8110 4G, Nokia 6.2, Nokia X10 and Nokia XR20. Behind these devices, the picture shows unbranded white retail packaging that is significantly larger than the rest.
Nokia T20 price (expected)
The retail box is speculated to be the upcoming Nokia T20 tablet, which will be Nokia’s first tablet in a long time and licensee HMD Global’s first tablet. The tablet first appeared online in July when its price and specifications were given by a dealer list in the UK. The Nokia T20 tablet will cost 185 GBP (approx. 18,600 rupees) for the pure Wi-Fi variant and 202 GBP (approx. 20,300 rupees) for the Wi-Fi + Cellular variant.
Nokia T20 specs (expected)
The tablet, which will soon be available on the market, will be equipped with a 10.36-inch touchscreen display. It is also said to be equipped with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of onboard storage. The dealer list also suggests that the Nokia T20 tablet will be offered in a blue color option. So far, neither HMD Global nor Nokia have disclosed any details about the alleged tablets.
In June, two Nokia tablets with model numbers TA-1392 and TA-1397 were discovered on a Russian certification website. It is speculated that these are the model numbers of the two variants of the Nokia T20 tablet.
