Jaipur-based ethnic clothing e-commerce and retail company Jaipurkurti.com has announced vacation holidays for its female employees in an effort to build a culture of appreciation for women’s needs. Under this policy, women can take 1 day of vacation each month or 12 vacation days per year. These vacation days will extend beyond the regular vacation and the public holidays taken.
According to the company, this move has three goals: equality in the workplace, a healthy work environment, and the celebration of femininity. Around 60 percent of the brand’s workforce are female.
“Period leave will be available to all female employees in the organization each month. In addition, vacation entitlement extends beyond the standard vacation and public holidays that Nandani Creation Limited offers to its agents. Female employees of the organization can take their period leave at their own discretion and by whatever day they want, ”said Chairman and MD Anuj Mundhra of Jaipurkurti.com.
