The pink iPhone 13 is real, but I liked the fan art better than the Apple version

The iPhone 13 in the new pink from Apple.

It was only a matter of time before the great algorithm in the sky was pink and millennial iPhone buzz together in capitalist marriage. the iPhone 13 series is finally here. To Apple’s virtual announcement eventthat not only saw them iPhone 13, 13 Mini, 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max but also the Apple Watch 7 and new iPads, the internet is full of excitement over the phones. extended memory Options (up to 1 TB!), extra Battery life, Camera upgrades and more. But what I’m most happy about are them new colors – specifically the pink iPhone 13 of the dreams of the collective internet.

This fan-art rendering of a pink iPhone 13 was posted on Instagram before it went viral on Twitter.

Pink iPhone 13 rumors all started with an Instagram post. Artist and Instagrammer Ali Sayed Ali, who specializes in 3D models and renderings (mostly of iPhones), posted a photo back in February showing a very ~ aesthetic ~ pink iPhone surrounded by apparently different pink Apple accessories (AirPods, AirPods Max and a Iphone case). “Should we see these colors more often?” said the caption.

Then, on May 5, a Twitter account called Peng Phones caused a frenzy when it tweeted the same photo without crediting it as “Rose Pink”. iPhone 13 Pro Max renders and teases a release date for the color option in December 2021. (The following tweets from the same account also mention the November 2021 releases for “Pink”, “Rose Pink” and even “Rosegold Pink” iPhones.) The tweet generated over 40,000 likes and 30,000+ retweets resulting in searches for “pink iPhone 13”. to point. The photo has since been removed from the tweet due to copyright infringement.

Much of the Twitter response was skeptical:

What sick person edited a pink iPhone and made it go viral like Apple was actually selling it?

Even so, many Twitter replies expressed hope (or at least a surrender to capitalism, which could be interpreted as buying intent): “Capitalism is bad, but the pink iPhone is so sexy,” tweeted one person. Another just tweeted that he manifested himself between two candle emojis with an image of not just a pink iPhone 13 but a pink emojis Nintendo switch, even.

That rumor was definitely more of a one iPhone wish list Article as the original creator of the image says they made it just for fun. But that didn’t stop us (and the aesthetic followers of social media) anyway from wondering about its plausibility. Could Apple Really Realize the Pink iPhone? Turns out yes. Look at the officer iPhone 13 color options under.

  • Starlight
  • midnight
  • blue
  • pink
  • Product red

iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max colors:

The accuracy of the alleged publication dates (Here is the official release date of the iPhone 13) and color names tweeted by Peng Phones were pretty hard to vouch for as they weren’t from or confirmed by notable leaks with solid Apple leak track records, and most importantly, because the photo in the tweet was merely a fan -Art was. But what the Twitter account got right was the fact that Apple would announce different colors for its iPhone 13 and 13 Mini phones compared to the 13 Pro and Pro Max. This isn’t a big surprise, given that Apple varied the colors in its iPhone 12 lineup similarly over the past year.

The chances of a pink iPhone 13 coming out in 2021? They weren’t terrible. First, this wouldn’t be the first time Apple has released a pink iPhone. the IPhone 5c, released in 2013, was available in pink. 2018 iPhone XR came in corals, and the iPhone 6S from 2015 it was sold in rose gold. Pink has been a popular color for technicians ever since. Samsung only released it last February Phantom Pink and Phantom Violet Models of his flagship Galaxy S21, with a more metallic luster than the iPhone 13 rendering.

And Apple released a new purple color option for iPhone 12 in the spring another bone is thrown into it aesthetic crowd. In fact, Apple also revealed one redesigned iMac at its April event available in various retro colors suitable for the company Rainbow logo of yore. One of those iMac colors is, you guessed it, pink.

Apple usually swaps out an iPhone color from generation to generation, with the rest remaining consistent. So it was always possible that a candy-colored pink could supplant the deep blue or mint green of the iPhone 12.

While Apple granted our requests for a pink iPhone 13 (the name of the color is literally just “pink”), the hue isn’t quite as bold as the original Instagram rendering. Would I call it bubble gum pink? Based on Apple’s marketing images, no way. CNET’s Patrick Holland says the pink is so pale In certain lighting conditions it looks almost white. But millennial pink? Maybe. Even so, no one can claim that their pink iPhone manifestations technically didn’t come true, even if the fan art looks a lot nicer. But if you are still disappointed with the muted pastel shade, you can still buy a pink one Phone case.
