OnePlus 9RT was unveiled on Wednesday, October 13th, as the company’s newest smartphone in the OnePlus 9 series. The new phone, which is an upgrade from the OnePlus 9R, has triple rear cameras with a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 120 Hz AMOLED display, and an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC. In addition to the OnePlus 9RT, OnePlus presented the OnePlus Buds Z2 at its live event. The company’s new True Wireless Stereo (TWS) earbuds come with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) support and 11mm drivers. The OnePlus Buds Z2 have a latency of 94 milliseconds – compared to 103 milliseconds of latency on the original OnePlus Buds Z.
OnePlus 9RT, OnePlus Buds Z2 price, availability
The OnePlus 9RT price was set at 3,299 CNY (approx. 38,600 rupees) for the basic version 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 3,499 CNY (approx. 40,900 rupees) for the 8 GB + 256 GB model. The phone is also available in the top-of-the-line option 12GB + 256GB priced at CNY 3,799 (approx. Rs. 44,400). The OnePlus 9RT will go on sale in China on October 19 and will be available on the first day of sales at a discount of CNY 100 (approx. 1,200 rupees).
The price for the OnePlus Buds Z2, on the other hand, is 499 CNY (approx. 5,800 rupees). The earbuds will be available in China from October 19th. Customers who buy the OnePlus Buds Z2 on the first day of sale will also receive a discount of CNY 100.
Both OnePlus 9RT and OnePlus Buds Z2 will be pre-ordered in China from Wednesday.
Details on the market launch of the OnePlus 9RT and the OnePlus Buds Z2 in India will be announced. OnePlus said at the event that it was confident of reaching 10 million sales worldwide in 2021.
OnePlus 9RT specifications
The dual SIM (nano) OnePlus 9RT runs on Android 11 with Oppos ColorOS on top. It has a 6.62-inch Full HD + (1,080 x 2,400 pixels) Samsung E4 AMOLED display with a 20: 9 aspect ratio, 1300 nits of peak brightness and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. The display also has 100 Percent DCI-P3 color space and has a touch sampling rate of 1300 Hz. Under the hood, the OnePlus 9RT has an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC and up to 12 GB LPDDR5 RAM. The phone comes with a triple rear camera that houses a 50 mega-pixel Sony IMX766 primary sensor. This is the same camera sensor that is also available on the OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro, as well as the OnePlus Nord 2. It’s also an upgrade to the 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 primary sensor available on the OnePlus 9R. In addition, the main sensor is equipped with an f / 1.8 lens that has optical image stabilization (OIS).
In addition to the 50-megapixel primary sensor, the OnePlus 9RT has a 16-megapixel secondary sensor with an f / 2.2 ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel macro shooter. There is also a dual LED flash. The rear view camera setup offers up to 4K video recordings and is coupled with hybrid focus.
For selfies and video chats, the OnePlus 9RT has a 16-megapixel Sony IMX471 selfie camera sensor on the front, which has a pixel size of 1 micrometer and is coupled with an f / 2.4 lens. The front camera also includes electronic image stabilization (EIS).
The OnePlus 9RT offers up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS / A-GPS, NFC and a USB Type-C port. On-board sensors include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, magnetometer, and proximity sensor.
OnePlus has provided the OnePlus 9RT with two stereo speakers and Dolby Atmos support. The phone has a 4,500 mAh dual cell battery that supports fast charging with 65T Warp Charge. It also measures 162.2 x 74.6 x 8.29 mm and weighs 198.5 grams.
OnePlus Buds Z2 specifications
The OnePlus Buds Z2 has dynamic 11 mm drivers – slightly larger than the 10 mm driver unit of the OnePlus Buds Z. The earbuds are also equipped with Bluetooth v5.2 connectivity, which is said to provide a latency of 94 milliseconds. For an enhanced audio experience, the new OnePlus Buds TWS earbuds come with ANC support to reduce noise by up to 40dB. There are three microphones for ANC as well as voice calls.
OnePlus claims that the Buds Z2 earbuds can deliver up to 38 hours of battery life on a single charge. The earphones have a 40 mAh battery that is designed for a playback time of up to seven hours. The company has also provided a 520 mAh battery in the charging case, which extends the overall life of the battery.
The OnePlus Buds Z2 TWS earbuds are IP55 certified, but the charging case is IPX4 certified.
Similar to the OnePlus Buds Z and many other earbuds in the same segment, the OnePlus Buds Z2 have touch controls and a transparency mode so users can hear background noise when needed.
The OnePlus Buds Z2 earphones measure 33 x 22.44 x 21.81 mm and weigh 4.5 grams each. The supplied charging case measures 73.15 x 36.80 x 29.07 mm and weighs 40.5 grams.
