iQoo Z5x start date set for October 20th, comes with a 5,000 mAh battery


The iQoo Z5x launch date has been confirmed by the company. The upcoming smartphone will be presented in China on October 20th. In addition, the design of the iQoo Z5x was teased and shows the smartphone in two color variants with a rectangular module for its dual rear-view camera setup. In addition, the smartphone was teased with a 5,000 mAh battery. Earlier this week, a TENAA list suggested some key specifications of the smartphone. iQoo Z5x should have a MediaTek Dimensity 900 5G SoC.

Through a post on Weibo, iQoo confirmed that the iQoo Z5x will hit the market on October 20th. Interested buyers can pre-order the smartphone via the iQoo online shop. The landing page of the online shop teases that the smartphone is getting a 5,000 mAh battery.

The landing page in the iQoo online shop also teases the design with some pictures of the upcoming smartphone. iQoo Z5x comes in two color options – black and orange. The smartphone is shown with a rectangular camera module that houses two lenses – allegedly a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. On the right spine you can see the phone with a volume rocker and a power button. On the underside of the iQoo Z5x there is a speaker grille, a USB Type-C port and a 3.5 mm headphone jack.

Earlier this week, an alleged TENAA list hinted at the possible specifications of the iQoo Z5x. The smartphone is expected to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 900 5G SoC, paired with 6 GB or 8 GB of RAM. iQoo Z5x can get 128GB and 256GB of onboard storage options. The TENAA list shows that the smartphone could get a 6.58-inch TFT display and run Android 11. According to the listing, the iQoo Z5x measures 163.95 x 75.30 x 8.5 mm and weighs 169 grams.
