The Redmi Note 11 series will make its global debut on Thursday October 28th. In the run-up to the market launch, Xiaomi teased the design, specifications and color options of the Redmi Note 11 Pro. The upcoming smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 920 SoC and has a steam cooling chamber. In addition, Redmi CEO Lu Weibing said that Xiaomi’s own sub-brand will now bring out two generations of the Redmi Note series every year. He also said that the upcoming Redmi Note 11 series will be a successor to the Redmi Note 9 series.

Through a series of posts on Weibo, Xiaomi revealed the design of its upcoming smartphone, as well as its specifications and color options. The Redmi Note 11 Pro was equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 920 SoC based on a 6 nm architecture with two Cortex-A78 cores and a Mali-G68 MC4 GPU. The Chinese tech giant also said MediaTek’s newly launched chipset scored 500,949 on the AnTuTu v9 benchmark. In addition, Xiaomi teased that the TSMC processor has a large vapor cooling chamber for better heat dissipation.

Xiaomi also shared a number of images of the Redmi Note 11 Pro on the Chinese microblogging website Weibo. These pictures show the upcoming smartphone in the color option Shallow Dream Galaxy. Another post on Weibo shows the Redmi smartphone in a greenish-black shade. The name of the color option was not revealed.

As mentioned earlier, Redmi CEO Weibing has confirmed that the Chinese tech giant will be releasing two generations of the Redmi Note series per year. The upcoming Redmi Note 11 series will be a successor to the Redmi Note 9 series. In addition, Weibing cited the reason for this strategy that demand from Redmi customers varies widely and a single product cannot meet all of these requirements. Therefore, Redmi will try to meet the demands of its customers through several product offerings.

Weibing went on to say that the Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G – which launched in May and is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1100 SoC – is solely focused on performance. He explained that for the upcoming Redmi Note 11 Pro, the company has chosen the Dimensity 920 SoC so that the smartphone can enhance other peripherals such as the 120W fast charger, AMOLED display, 108-megapixel camera and stereo speakers .
