Xiaomi, Redmi smartphones with Snapdragon 870 SoCs are expected to hit the market soon

Xiaomi is said to be developing two smartphones with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC. According to a report, one smartphone will be branded as Xiaomi and the second could be a Redmi branded smartphone. The new upcoming smartphones should be equipped with 5G connectivity and 67 W fast charging support. Meanwhile, a Xiaomi smartphone with the model number 2112123AC has been spotted on China’s 3C certification website, indicating the key specifications of the Chinese technology giant’s upcoming smartphone.

In a series of posts on the Chinese microblogging site Weibo, well-known tipster Digital Chat Station claims that Xiaomi is working on the development of two smartphones with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC, and one will be launched under the Redmi brand.

Recommended specs include a 120Hz refresh rate display, a 5,000mAh battery mated with 67W fast charge and 33W support for fast wireless charging, JBL speakers, and an X-axis motor.

Tipster Digital Chat Station (translated) also shared the 3C list for a Xiaomi smartphone with the model number 2112123AC. The listing suggests that the upcoming smartphone will have 5G connectivity and 67W fast charging support. The 3C list does not mention whether this certification applies to a Xiaomi or a Redmi smartphone.
