Forza Horizon 5 release date, PC system requirements, price, size, review, and more


Forza Horizon 5, the newest open world racing game from Playground Games, was released to Premium customers last week and everyone else will get the game this week. The open world arcade sim racing game is now set in Mexico and is returning to North America for the first time in 9 years – since the original game, which was based in Colorado. One of the things that Playground Games and Turn 10 mentioned is that Mexico is the biggest map they’ve made for any Forza Horizon franchise to date.

Forza Horizon 5 release date

The long-awaited Forza Horizon 5 was released for premium customers on Friday, November 5th. Everyone else will get the game on Tuesday November 9th.

Typically, the Forza franchise games follow a schedule with Xbox Game Studios releasing new Horizon and Motorsport titles every other year. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Forza Motorsport 8’s release has been postponed to an indefinite date.

In addition, players will need at least 110 GB of free onboard storage on their PCs running Windows 10 with the November 2019 update.

Forza Horizon 5 price

The price of Forza Horizon 5 starts at Rs. 3,999 for the Standard Edition in the Microsoft Store. The Deluxe Edition costs Rs. 5,399 while the premium Premium Edition costs Rs. 6,599. Prices on Steam for the Standard, Deluxe and Premium Editions are Rs. 3,499, Rs. 4,499 and Rs. 5,499, respectively.

On Games The Shop, the physical copy of the Standard Edition of Forza Horizon 5 is available for Rs. 4,299 and the remaining editions are not currently listed.

The latest Horizon title, as mentioned earlier, is available in three editions – Standard, Deluxe and Premium. Compared to the Standard Edition, buyers of the Deluxe Edition get access to the Forza Horizon 5 Car Pass, while the buyers of the Premium Edition get the Forza Horizon Expansion 1 and 2, the Forza Horizon 5 Car Pass, the Forza Horizon 5 Welcome Pack and the Forza Horizon Get 5 VIP membership packs.

The pre-load for Forza Horizon 5 is already live, and last month Playground Games announced the size requirements for the different platforms on which the game is available. Xbox Series S / X players need at least 103 GB of free space on their hard drives, while Xbox One gamer would need 116 GB of free space. Windows and Steam players need at least 103 GB to download their game to their PC.

For the fifth iteration of the Forza Horizon franchise, Playground Games takes players to Mexico. Players will now drive on the right side of the road where the previous two games were based on Australia and the UK with left-hand traffic.

One of the main additions to the game is the Horizon Arcade, which is essentially a renamed Forzathon Live. However, it does feature 12 co-op mini-games that include smashing piñatas, super jumping, breaking speed records, and more.
