OnePlus Nord 2 5G reportedly exploded in India – again. The new incident was reported on Twitter, along with some images suggesting serious injury to the user. Although OnePlus has not yet revealed any details about the explosion, the user did mention that the company made an effort to understand the matter. In particular, this is not the first time the OnePlus Nord 2 5G has allegedly exploded. There have been similar incidents in the past.

A Maharashtra user posted pictures on Twitter showing the OnePlus Nord 2 5G device that exploded. One of the images also suggests that the user was severely burned from the explosion.

The issue was originally reported on Twitter on Wednesday November 3rd. Shortly after the first tweet was posted, the OnePlus support team asked the user to connect via direct messages on Twitter for more information on the issue. However, the company has not yet announced any details.

However, the issue caught some attention on the Monday following press coverage. The user then replied to their original thread saying that the company was in “constant contact”.

OnePlus did not respond on Gadgets 360 to a request for comment on the matter.

91Mobiles reports that the company said in a statement that it is “in the process of gathering the details to investigate further”.

The OnePlus Nord 2 5G was launched in July as the successor to the company’s popular mid-range model, OnePlus Nord. In just over three months since its launch, the new OnePlus phone is said to have exploded at least a couple of times.

In one case, OnePlus even sent a legal notice to the user claiming an explosion on their OnePlus Nord 2 5G phone.

In addition to the phone itself, the OnePlus Nord 2 5G charger also recently exploded. However, the company blamed external factors.

The latest incident about the OnePlus Nord 2 explosion comes just days before the OnePlus Nord 2 Pac-Mac Edition launches. The new phone was teased on Amazon and is priced at Rs. 37,999. This is Rs. 3,000 more than the top-of-the-line version of the regular OnePlus Nord 2 priced at Rs. 34,999.
