Micromax is said to be working on new smartphones. The Indian smartphone brand hasn’t released any details on the new phones yet, but a new leak suggests that Micromax could launch new smartphones in the country in mid-December. The company has not shown any devices in a while. In June of this year, Micromax In 2b was launched with features like the Unisoc T610 SoC, rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and a 5,000 mAh battery. It came as the successor to Micromax In 1b.

Tipster Hridesh Mishra (@HkMicromax) tweeted about the arrival of new Micromax handsets. According to the tipster, the Indian smartphone brand plans to introduce the latest Micromax smartphones on December 15th. Details of the phones’ names and specifications are not yet known.

Micromax had previously given the tip to introduce a handset with the name Micromax In Note 1 Pro in the ‘In’ series. The alleged handset was then discovered on Geekbench with the model number E7748, which gave a glimpse into some of the phone’s key specs. The handset should be powered by the MediaTek MT6785 SoC, which could be the MediaTek Helio G90 chipset. Additionally, Micromax is listed in Note 1 Pro with 4GB of RAM and runs on the outdated Android 10 operating system.

Micromax In Note 1 Pro achieved a single-core score of 519 and a multi-core score of 1,673 points on Geekbench. The handset should also work with Android 11. It’s not yet clear if the company plans to launch Micromax In Note 1 Pro in December.

As mentioned earlier, Micromax In 2b is the newest offering from Micromax. The budget handset was released in June with a price of Rs. 7,999 for the 4GB + 64GB storage option and Rs. 8,999 for the 6GB + 64GB storage model. It was launched in black, blue, and green color options.
