Samsung Galaxy S22, S22 Plus camera specifications leak: 50-megapixel main, 10-megapixel telephoto cameras tilted

Samsung Galaxy S22 will feature a triple camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera, according to new details on the company’s upcoming smartphones shared by a tipster. The Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus will also have the same camera specs reportedly. Rumor has it that Samsung’s upcoming S22 series will also be shipped with the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC in India. The regular version of Samsung’s upcoming flagship is expected to feature a 6-inch display, while the Plus model could have a 6.55-inch screen, according to previous leaks.

While the company’s flagship smartphones are due to hit the market in February 2022 following the launch of the much-rumored Galaxy S21 FE, tipster Ice Universe has now shared alleged camera specifications for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S22 series. According to the tipster, the main camera will have a 50-megapixel primary sensor with a 1 / 1.57-inch sensor and an f / 1.8 aperture. Readers may remember that the company equipped the Samsung Galaxy S21 with a 12-megapixel camera.

Samsung S22 (6.06 inch) and S22 + (6.55 inch) camera parameters:
Main camera: 50MP 1 / 1.57 1um F1.8
Tele: 3X 10MP 1 / 3.94 1um F2.4
Ultra wide angle: 12MP 1 / 2.55 “1.4um F2.2

Samsung could keep the 1 / 2.55-inch 12-megapixel sensor for the ultra-wide camera of the Samsung Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 Plus as well as the 10-megapixel selfie camera, according to the tipster. However, the Samsung Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 Plus are geared towards achieving 3x optical zoom with a 10 megapixel sensor instead of the Galaxy S21 series digital zoom.

According to the tipster, who already shared details of the company’s upcoming flagship model in October, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra could contain an “improved” version of the 108-megapixel main camera, while the 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera could be retained in this year’s model. Samsung Galaxy is expected to be equipped with smaller 10-megapixel Sony sensors for the periscope and the telephoto camera. While there have been multiple leaks regarding the Galaxy S22 Ultra’s camera, the company has not yet released any details about these smartphones.
