K-pop group BLACKPINK member Lisa’s first solo album song “MONEY” set a new record on Spotify, the world’s largest music streaming platform.
Lisa’s agency YG Entertainment announced on December 30th that ‘MONEY’ reached 300 million streams on Spotify that morning. It’s the milestone in 112 days after it was released on September 10th. In addition, it is the fastest recording with the song released by K-pop solo artists surpassing 300 million streams.
The fastest record ever was Jennie’s solo, which hit 300 million streams as a Korean solo artist for the first time in around 960 days.
Lisa’s solo album title track ‘LALISA’ previously topped the iTunes Top Song Charts in 72 countries and the Global YouTube Song Top 100 Charts for 2 consecutive weeks. In addition, ‘LALISA’ and ‘MONEY’ took 84th and 93rd place respectively on Billboard’s ‘Hot 100’ charts and successfully entered the most important single charts of the global pop market.
In particular, ‘MONEY’ has proven its long-term popularity and is number 5 on the Spotify Global Charts. In addition, it ranked 8 and 2 weeks in a row on the official UK Singles Top 100 charts and the US Billboard Hot 100 charts.
