Moto G71 India market launch expected in the second week of January


The Moto G71 India launch could be very soon. The date has yet to be officially confirmed by Lenovo’s own brand, but a new leak suggests that the latest Moto G-series phone is set to hit the market later this month. In November of last year, the Motorola handset made its worldwide debut along with the Moto G200, Moto G51, Moto G41 and Moto G31 phones. Of these, the Moto G51 and Moto G31 smartphones have so far been presented in India. The Moto G71 is powered by a Snapdragon 695 SoC. Further highlights of the handset are triple rear view cameras, 128 GB of storage and a 5,000 mAh battery.

Tipster Yogesh Brar (@heyitsyogesh) posted a suggestion on Twitter about the upcoming launch of the Moto G71 in India. He claimed the new smartphone would hit India in the second week of January and the brand is expected to be teasing the phone’s Indian arrival soon. However, the tipster did not give an exact start date.

Gadgets 360 has contacted Motorola India for a comment on the introduction. This report will be updated when the company replies.

Moto G71 price, specifications

As mentioned earlier, the Moto G71 was launched worldwide along with the Moto G200, Moto G51, Moto G41 and Moto G31 in the third week of November.

Worldwide, the Moto G71 costs 299.99 euros (approx. 25,200 rupees). The Indian variant should also be priced in the same range.

By comparison, the Moto G51 5G was priced at Rs in India. 14,999 for the only model with 4GB of RAM + 64GB of storage. The Moto G31 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage variant costs Rs. 12,999 and the variant with 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage is available for Rs. 14,999.

The Moto G71 runs on Android 11. The handset has a 6.4-inch Full HD + (1,080 x 2,400 pixels) OLED display with 60 Hz refresh rate and 409 ppi pixel density. The Moto G71 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC, which is coupled with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage.

For optics, the Moto G71 has a triple rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. The Moto G71 also has a 16-megapixel front camera for selfies. The Motorola phone has a 5,000 mAh battery with Turbo Power 30 fast charging. Connectivity options include a USB Type-C port, Bluetooth v5, and Wi-Fi ac.
