The launch of the Xiaomi 12 series will take place in China at 7:30 p.m. CST Asia (5:00 p.m. IST). The kick-off event will be streamed live via the company’s China website and Weibo.

Realme is expected to launch the regular Realme GT 2, Realme GT 2 Pro and Realme GT 2 Master Edition. Much attention has been paid to the Realme GT 2 Pro as the key specs and features of the handset have been revealed by the company itself.

Realme GT 2 series specifications

All smartphones in the series are said to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. The SoC can be equipped with a new ‘Diamond Ice Core Cooling Plus’ technology along with an oversized vapor chamber (VC) liquid cooling area to provide improved thermal management. However, one report states that the Vanilla Realme GT 2 model may come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC, which is likely to be paired with 8GB / 12GB of RAM and 128GB / 256GB of storage.

It is speculated that the Realme GT 2 will come with a triple rear camera with a 50-megapixel sensor, an 8-megapixel secondary sensor, and a 2-megapixel tertiary sensor. It can contain a 16-megapixel camera for selfies. The phone could contain a 5,000 mAh dual cell battery with 65 W fast charge support via a USB Type-C charging port.

In the meantime, the Realme GT 2 Pro will be equipped with a 6.7-inch 2K display with thin bezels and a hole cutout in the upper left corner of the screen. Realme confirmed that the phone will receive a Samsung panel with a resolution of 1,440 x 3,216 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. It will feature LTPO technology and Gorilla Glass Victus protection. One of the features could be a fingerprint sensor with “Heart Rate Detection”.

In addition, the Realme GT 2 Pro should be available in two versions: 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage and 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage. It could be offered in Master Paper and Master Mysterious (translated) color options.

As for the camera specifications of the Realme GT 2 Pro, the smartphone gets a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). The second sensor in the triple rearview camera is likely a 50 megapixel sensor and is paired with a lens that offers a 150 degree field of view. In addition, the handset will also have a fisheye mode. It has been confirmed that the last two functions are available on the iQoo 9 Pro. There will also be a Microscope 2.0 lens that is said to be capable of taking “extreme micro” images.
