Realme GT 2 Pro Bags BIS certification, launch expected in India soon


The Realme GT 2 Pro smartphone could soon debut in the Indian market. The details have yet to be officially announced by the Chinese smartphone maker, but the latest handset in the Realme GT series has received Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification, suggesting it could hit the Indian market soon. Realme recently launched the Realme GT 2 Pro and Realme GT 2 smartphones in China. Realme GT 2 Pro has the latest and greatest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC from Qualcomm under the hood.

Realme GT 2 Pro with model number Realme RMX3301 has bagged BIS certification. However, there is no clarity as to when the smartphone will hit the market in India. Realme has not yet released any information about the India variant of the Realme GT 2 Pro.

As a reminder, Realme GT 2 Pro was launched in China at a price of CNY 3,899 (approximately Rs 45,600) for the base variant with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. The top-end model with 12 GB RAM + 512 GB storage costs 4,799 CNY (about 56,300 rupees). It is offered in Paper Green, Paper White, Steel Black and Titanium Blue color options.

Realme GT 2 Pro specifications

Realme GT 2 Pro has a 6.7-inch 2K (1,440 x 3,216 pixels) LTPO AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. It carries an A + certification from DisplayMate and is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus. Qualcomm’s latest flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC in conjunction with up to 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage drives the device.

For optics, Realme GT 2 Pro offers a triple camera setup with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX 766 primary sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2-megapixel macro camera. The handset has a 32-megapixel shooter for selfies. Realme GT 2 Pro is equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 65W charging.
