eToro, the popular social trading and investment platform, has announced the launch of their Metaverse-themed smart portfolio called MetaverseLife, which aims to give investors long-term exposure to stocks, crypto assets and key projects within the Metaverse industry Offer. The metaverse refers to a virtual world in which users can move as avatars, interact socially and economically with other people. The recent renaming of Facebook to meta-platforms and the new focus on building an immersive virtual ecosystem are just one example of the great interest in this area around the world.
“As the ultimate boundary between the real and the virtual world, the Metaverse represents the most likely development of the Internet in the coming years,” said Dani Brinker, Head of Investment Portfolios at eToro, in a statement on the announcement of the Smart Portfolio.
The MetaverseLife portfolio consists of stocks and crypto assets that represent the Metaverse as a whole. It is weighted more heavily on the platforms that create these metaverse, such as meta-platforms and Roblox, as well as on crypto-assets or blockchain-based metaverse platforms, Decentraland, The Sandbox, and Enjin. The portfolio also includes well-known technology names that will contribute to the wider adoption of the metaverse, such as Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, and Nvidia. The detailed list of the companies that make up the portfolio can be found here.
With MetaverseLife, eToro offers a bundle of long-term investment opportunities with no management fees. The initial investment starts at nearly $ 500 (approx. 36,973) Rs. And the platform also allows users to track the performance of their portfolios with charts and other analytical tools. eToro offers users more than 60 portfolios.
Brinker explains, “When evaluating investment opportunities in emerging industries, diversification is key as not all parties involved will be winners. For people who don’t have time to catch up on current developments in the industry, the market can seem overwhelming. When we put a selection of assets together in a portfolio, we do the heavy lifting and allow our clients to devote themselves to the metaverse and spread the risk across a variety of assets. “
eToro also recently announced the addition of a popular blockchain-based metaverse platform, The Sandbox, to its investment platform, which enables its clients to invest in a metaverse. Building on this partnership, eToro plans further collaborations, including the purchase of land in the Metaverse.
