Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) developer Krafton is releasing a new update for the popular battle royale game. As previously announced, the Spider-Man: No Way Home theme is the biggest highlight of the update. The latest 1.8.0 update brings UI improvements, allowing players to quickly select a game they want. With the update, players can enjoy the new Livik: Aftermath theme until February 14th. Once the new version is installed, ranked and normal matching will be shown separately. The update also adds an automatic marker. In addition to new features, the update also includes some improvements to the existing elements in the game. Some players have reported issues with the January update, and the company has offered a fix.
Krafton announced on Friday the launch of version 1.8.0 update for Battlegrounds Mobile India. The update for Android and iOS brings Spider-Man: No Way Home theme mode and Aftermath game mode for players. It now has a separate matching mode. With this, the season tier points will be reflected in ranked matchmaking, and the season tier points will not be affected if the player is playing in normal matchmaking. Krafton added some UI changes to make it easier for users to easily select a desired match.
Another highlight in the new update, Livik: Aftermath mode can only be played in normal matching. This will not harm the seasonal tire point. In Livik: Aftermath: Firearm and Scope mode, players can use automatic fire to knock down enemies. With the new version, players will get ziplines for quick movement across the map. Additionally, there will be a communication tower to rescue the fallen teammates.
BGMI players can see new supply shops on the map in Classic mode, where they can exchange looted coins for supply items. Version 1.8.0 will have an indicator showing the upcoming location of the supply crate. Revive items to recall defeated teammates are displayed on the map. Players must retrieve ID cards from defeated teammates’ chests in order to revive them.
The new update 1.8.0 brings improvements in firearms. The update also includes some fixes. The shooting direction and aiming issue varied depending on the screen resolution, and the bullet scattering issues have been fixed. BGMI now lets knocked out players swim in the water. In addition, the place name is displayed three-dimensionally on the map in the new version.
Auto tagging to find enemies and auto jumping with ping are the other new features acquired through the update. In addition, the company has improved the reception and outcome of reporting fraudsters. It offers rewards for players with high earning levels.
After installing the January update, some users are having problems with the game. Krafton has highlighted two problems and offered a solution to them. Users are advised to contact in-game customer support in case of any discrepancies by tapping the arrow in the lower-right corner of the lobby > Settings > General > Customer Service.
